When asked what our absolute favorite type of coffee to roast is, we have to say in full honesty, and gusto, Kenyan coffee. (Mejorado friends, we love you but it's true). This is our first Kenyan release of the 2026 season, and a stellar one at that. Every year we eagerly wait for the early summer fresh Kenyan arrivals, and that time is yet again upon us!
Muburi AB stunned us on a blind table of Kenyan samples, primarily because of its crystal clarity and refreshing profile. While the tradional Kenyan fully washed method makes Kenyan coffees some of the cleanest we ever roast, there is something noteworthy about Muburi's surprising cleanliness that instantly captures the palate. Flavors in this coffee are quite defined while presenting elegantly; this isn't the hulk-smash whack of acidity type of Kenyan. This is a Kenyan coffee for Gesha lovers. It is also among the least savory-leaning Kenyan coffees we have tried from this new season. We are so exited to get this one into your hands and to roll out Kenyan season with an excellent start!
