Our first Ethiopian coffee of the 2026 season - Danche! We have long been fans of classic washed Yirgacheffe/Gedeb coffees, and this is the first of that sort we have brought onto our menu in quite some time. We made a direct emphasis to move our purchasing towards Gedeb this season, and we are thrilled the time has come to begin releasing these lots to you all!
This season's Danche lot produced by Habtamu Fekadu Aga is nothing short of spectacular. The complexity here is off the charts. The cup begins with perfumed lavender in aroma and taste. Secondly, we get complex, bright red and yellow fruits like raspberry and peach. The sip finishes with the most delightful effervescence, clearly mirroring a crisp and refreshing champagne.
This is another lot we have brought in through our partners Crop to Cup. We buy most of our Ethiopian coffees through them each year, and its a privilege to continue investing in the partnership with them.
